Cafe Rouge Bury St Edmunds

We stayed in Bury St Edmunds for the weekend and booked Cafe Rouge for a treat on the Saturday evening at 7.30pm. When we arrived the place was buzzing, but people gradually left and so did our waitress. After our first 2 courses we felt a bit ignored and missed our waitress. Our evening for my husbands birthday was great. The food was excellent, the cocktails were fabulous and the staff were a credit to customer service so all in all a very enjoyable evening and cant wait to go back.

Wait staff are experts at avoiding eye contact, even when clearing a table right next to yours. All I wanted was another milk for my son! Really though, this is your average chain restaurant. There is nothing to really complain about while at the same time there is nothing to leave a real impression. And I had to laugh when the woman taking our orders wasn't familiar with the French words used on the menu, like confit and pommes. I would eat here again
